                  This Indenture made on the twenty Sixth
day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and Seventy one between David P. Newsom
of the first part and Patience E. Smith, Jas Watson Smith,
William Smith & Mary C. Smith of the second part.
Witnesseth: That whereas as one of the heirs of the Estate of
Joel B. Smith deceased the said Party of the first part has
received his distributive share of said Estate and desires
to relinquish in favor of the parties of the second part all
further claim to or interest in the said Estate. Now therefore
for the foregoing consideration as well as for the sum of
Five Dollars to him in hand Paid at and before the Seal=
ing and delivery hereby the receipt whereof is hereby acknowl=
edged, the said Party of the first part has given, granted,
bargained, sold and conveyed and by these Presents does
So give grant bargain sell and convey to the said
Parties of the second part all right title interest and claim
to the said Estate or any portion thereof which by right
of inheritance I, now have or may hereafter have both to
the personal property or real Estate, excepting however thirteen
town Lots which have this day been conveyed to the said
Party of the first Part by the Said Parties of the Second part
as will more fully appear on referance to said Deed of Con=
veyance In testimony whereof the said party of the first part
has hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal on the
day and year first above written.
