County of Alachua } This indenture made and
executed this 25th day of February AD 1869, between
J.M. Hawthorn and P.T. Hawthorn his wife of
the State and County aforesaid of the first part
and H.C. Martin of the second part. Witness
that the said J.M. Hawthorn and wife P.T.
Hawthorn for and in consideration of the sum
of (350. 00/100) three hundred and fifty dollars to them
in hand paid by the said H.C. Martin the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained
sold and conveyed, and do by these presents grant
bargain sell convey and deliver unto the said
H.C. Martin his heirs and assigns all of the following
described lot or parcel of land lying and being 
the County of Alachua, and known as the North
East quarter of the South East Quarter of section 27
twenty seven Township (10) ten, South of Range (22)
Twenty two East, Being at the North East corner of the
South East Quarter of section (27) twenty seven Township
(10) ten, South of Range (22) twenty two East. Running
due south (70) Seventy yards thence due East (140), one
hundred and forty yards, thence due North (70) seventy
yards and thence to the point of commencement
containing (2) two acres, to have and to hold the said
before described land together with all rights and
appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said
H.C. Martin his heirs and assigns forever in fee
simple. And the said J.M. Hawthorn and his wife
P.T. Hawthorn for themselves their heirs executors
and Administrators will forever warrant and defend
the right and title thereunto against the claims of
all persons whatever in testimony whereof the said
J.M. Hawthorn and his wife P.T. Hawthorn hereunto
set their hands and affix their seals the day and
year above written
