State of Florida  } On this 12th day of April AD
County of Alachua } 1872 before me a notary public
in and for said County personally appeared before
me P.H. Gallaher one of the subscribing witnesses to
the above deed who being duly sworn says that
he was present and saw Daniel Morrison sign
and execute the same for the purposes therein
expressed

This Indenture made the tenth day of April in the year one
thousand eight hundred and seventy two Between J.H.
Roper of the Town of Gainesville, in the County of 
Alachua and State of Florida of the first part,
and George Doig of the same County and State of
the second part:  Witnesseth that the said party of the
first part for and in consideration of the Sum of one
Hundred and Seventy five dollars lawful money of the
United States to him duly paid before the delivery here=
of hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth
grant and convey to the said party of the second part
his heirs and assigns forever all that certain piece or
parcel of land lying and being in the County of Alachua
and State of Florida, and which is known and described
as follows to wit: Being in Section (4) Township (10) 
Range (20) - and Commencing Sixty feet North of the
Florida Rail Road at the South East corner of
Henry Avera's lot and run North two (200) hundred
and (10) ten feet; then East two hundred (200) feet; then
South to within Sixty (60) feet of the Florida Rail
Road; then westward and paralell with said Florida
Rail Road to the place of begining. Containing one
acre more or less. together with all and singular the ten
ements hereditaments and appurtenances and all
the Estate title and interest of the said party of the
first part therein. And the said party of the first part
doth hereby covenant and agree with the said party
of the second part that at the time of the delivery
hereof the said party of the first part is the lawful
owner of the premises above granted and seized
