County of Alachua } This Indenture made and entered into this
7th day of February AD 1872, by and between
James Doig attorney in fact for Daniel G. Anderson, party of the
first part, and Aaron Smith, party of the Second part, both of
the County and State aforesaid.
Witnesseth, that the Said party of the first part, for and in
Consideration of the Sum of Thirty Six & 72/100 dollars to him in
hand paid by the Said party of the Second part, at and before the
Signing, Sealing and delivery of these Presents, the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and Sold, and by
these presents doth grant, bargain, Sell and Convey unto the Said party
of the Second part all that Certain tract or Parcel of land lying and
being Situate in the County and State aforesaid, and more partic
ularly described as follows.
Beginning at a Stake in Sweet water Branch on the line de=
viding Sections four and nine, Township Ten, Range 20, South and East,
to a Stake twelve chains and eighty links, thence north to a Stake
eleven chains and twenty eight links thence west to a Stake in Said
branch ten chains and forty three links, thence South with the
meanderings of Said Branch to the Place of beginning, Containing
eleven and 76/100 of an acre more or less to have and to hold the
foregoing described premises to the Said party of the Second part,
her heirs and assigns forever, together with all and Singular the
tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging
And the Said party of the first part further Covenants and
agrees, that at the time of Signing, sealing and delivery of these
presents, he was the legally authorized, Constituted and appoint=
ted attorney in fact for the Said Daniel G. Anderson and
was as fully authorized and empowered to Convey the foregoing
described premises, as if the Said Anderson had been personally
present. }
