day sell the same at public auction according to law
to James B. Brown for the sum of sixty Dollars being
the highest sum for the same, Now therefor Know ye
that I the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid
by virtue of the said writs and the statutes in such
cases made and provided for and in consideration
of the sum of Sixty dollars to me in hand paid by
the said James B. Brown party of the second part
have granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said
James B. Brown party of the second part his heirs
and assigns forever all the following property to wit
Lot (3) three Block (3) Three Range (2) two situated
in the Town of Gainesville on the south side of
the Public square together with all the right titles
interests and equities which the said William Strickland
had of in or to the same To have to hold as fully as I
the said George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid might
could or ought to sell and convey the same
