State of Florida }
Alachua County   } This Indenture made this January 5th 1871
between Samuel A. Fewell of the State of Georgia and
County of Glynn of the first part and Rosa Shivery of
the State of Florida and County aforesaid of the second
part:  Witnesseth that the said Samuel A. Fewell for
and in Consideration of the sum of Two hundred
and forty dollars to him in hand paid by the said
Rosa Shivery the reciept whereof is hereby acknowledged
did hereby give grant bargain and sell unto the
said Rosa Shivery her heirs Executors and Admin=
istrators all the right title and interest of the said
Samuel A. Fewell in and to Fifty feet front of Lot
No 2 Block No 2 as described in the plan of the
town of Gainesville Containing fifty feet front and
running back two hundred and ten feet to a back
street the same being the southern portion of said
block together with all the priveledges and appur=
tenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining
  To have and To hold the above granted premises to
the Said Rosa Shivery her heirs and assigns in fee
simple. And the said Samuel A. Fewell will and
his heirs and assigns Executors and administrators
shall the said property to the said Rosa Shivery
her heirs Executors and administrators forever warrant
and defend against the lawful demands of all
persons whatever
  And I Missouri T. Fewell wife of the said Samuel
A. Fewell for the consideration aforesaid and for divers
other good and valuable considerations do hereby
release relinquish and quit claim unto the said Rosa
Shivery all my right Claim or probability of Dower
in and to the premises conveyed in these presents
  Intestimony Whereof we the said Samuel A. Fewell
and the sad Missouri F. Fewell his wife have hereunto
set their hands and affixed their seals this the day
and date first above written

Georgia       }
Glynn County  } Personally appeared Mrs Missouri T. Fewell
wife of Samuel A. Fewell who after being examined separate
and apart from her said husband acknowledged that
she Joined her said husband in the foregoing deed
of Conveyance for the purpose of relinquishing her right
