Alachua County } This Indenture made and entered into
this the fourteenth day of May A.D. 1872
Between James D. Matheson, as Trustee for Elise M. Haile
wife of Charles E. Haile of the first part and Mary E. Thomas
of the Second part, All of the State and County aforesaid:
Witnesseth, That the Said party of the first part, for
and in Consideration of the Sum of Seven Hundred and
Sixty ($76000) Dollars, to him in hand paid at and before
the Signing ensealing and delivery of these presents, the re=
ceipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath given, granted
bargain, Sell and Convey unto the Said party of the Second
part, all that Certain tract or parcel of Land lying and
being Situated in the State and County aforesaid, and de=
scribed as follows: to wit The South west quarter of the
South west quarter of Section (23) Twenty three, And the
North west quarter of Section (26) Twenty Six (Excepting a
Square of ten (10) acres in the South East Corner of Said
quarter, Section) in Township (8) Eight, South Range (18)
Eighteen East Containing one Hundred and ninety (190)
acres more or less. To have and to hold the Said described
premises, together with all and Singular the rights, ten=
ements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto be=
longing or in any wise appertaining, unto the Said
party of the Second part his heirs and assigns forever and
in fee Simple. And the Said party of the first part
and his Successors in the trust above mentioned, and
all others claiming under him or them, Shall and will
forever warrant and defend the title to the above de=
Scribed premises in and to the Said party of the Second
part her heirs and assigns.
In Testimony whereof the Said party of the first part
as trustee as aforesaid has hereunto Set his hand and
Seal this day and year above written
