learned in the law, Shall be reasonably devised, advised or
required. And the Said parties of the first part and their heirs
the above described and hereby granted and released premises,
and every part and parcel thereof, with the appurtenances,
unto the said Party of the Second part, his heirs and assigns,
against the said parties of the first part, their heirs, and against
all and every person or person whomsoever, lawfully claiming
or to claim the Same, Shall and will Warrant and by these pres=
ents, forever Defend.

                                   Be it remembered that
on this eighteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and Seventy two before me the
Subscriber a Commissioner in and for the State of New
Yok duly Commissioned and authorized by the Governor
of the State of Florida to take the acknowledgement and
and proof of deeds and other instruments of writing to be
used or recorded in Said State & to administer oaths affirmations
&c Personally appeared Helen I. Cortis and Thomas T. Cortis to me
known to be the individuals described in and who executed the
foregoing instrument and Severally acknowledged that they
executed the Same And Said Helen I Cortis, wife of Said
Thomas T. Cortis on a private examination by me, Separate
and apart from and out of the hearing of her husband, further
acknowledged that She executed said instrument, freely and
voluntary and without any fear or Compulsion restraint or ap=
prehension of or from her Said husband.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and
affixed my Seal of office or my office in the City of
Brooklyn the day and year first above written.
