This Indenture made the Seventeenth day of June in the
year one thousand eight hundred and seventy two Between William
M. Hoes of the City Court and State of New York party of the
first part and Joseph B. Blake of in the State of Florida party
of the second part. Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part
in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand, two hundred
and forty Dollars to him duly paid before the delivery hereof,
hath bargain and sold, and by these presents do grant and
convey to the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns
forever, all that certain lot piece or parcel of land situate
lying and being in the Arredondo Grant in the State of Flori=
da and known as Section 36 (Thirty Six) in Township 11 (Eleven)
Range 21 (Twenty one) containing Six hundred and forty acres
be the same more or less. So as the same was with other lots con=
veyed to me by Hephzebah C. Taylor by deed bearing date the first
day of July one thousand eight hundred and Seventy,
with the appurtenances, and all the estate, title and interest of the
said party of the first part therein, and the said party of the first
part doth hereby covenant and agree with the said party of the sec
ond part, that at the time of the delivery hereof, the said party of
the first part, is the lawful owner of the premises above granted,
and Seized thereof in fee Simple absolute and that he will warrant
and Defend the above granted premises in the quiet and peaceable
possession of the said party of the second part, his heirs and
