Morrison Mills 25th May 1872                     to
On the first day of October next I promise to pay^the order of
Noah Townsend or bearer the sum of two hundred dollars
on my present growing crop of cotton for the purpose of pur=
chasing Supplies to enable me to make said crops and I do
                               growing
hereby give you a lien on my said^crops to secure said ad=
vances, and I also give you a lien on my mare and I agree
to deliver to you at any gin or at your own Residence
Enough of said crops of cotton on first gathered to pay this
note at its maturity Binding also my mare for the full and
Punctual payment of the above obligation and the payment
of all costs and counsel fees incured on the premises &
Gining I give you hereby full and legal control of the same
with power to take possession of the crops of cotton & mare
upon the failure to meet this note at its maturity and
transfer it.

Alachua County   } Carlton a Justice of the Peace in and for
                   said County, C.C. Townsend who being du-
ly sworn upon oath says that he as one of the subscribing
witnesses to the within mortgage lien, saw the same signed
on the day and date therein written for the therein set forth.

This Indenture made this eleventh day of June 1872: Between Joseph
Chriswell and Eliza his wife of the first part of the County of Alach=
ua and State of Florida, and Fannie W. Campbell of the County
and State aforesaid of the second part.
 Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consid
eration of the sum of three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) to them in hand
paid by the parties of the second part, before the sealing and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have bargained
sold and conveyed and by these presents do bargain sell and con=
vey to the said parties of the second part the following tract or par=
cel of land lying and being in the County and State aforesaid
and described as follows, West Half of lots No 5 of Section No 9 in
Township No 8 South of Range No 18 East containing Thirty Four acres
To have and to hold the aforesaid piece or parcel of land to the said
partie of the second part and her heirs forever and the said parties
of the first part doth for themselves their executors administrators
and assigns covenant and agree to and with the said partie
of the second part and her executors administrators and assigns
that they will and their heirs administrators and assigns that they
will and their heirs administrators and assigns shall
warrant and defend the aforegranted premises in the peacefull and
