Alachua County } Know all men by these presents
that Tillman Valentine Mary Ann Valentine his
wife of said State and county, for and in con
sideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to
them in hand paid by Reuben Bennett of said State
and county, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and by these
presents, do grant, bargain, sell convey and deliver unto
the said Reuben Bennett and his wife Sarah L. Bennett
all that tract, lot, or parcel of Land, lying being and
situate in the county and State aforesaid and known
and distinguished as Lot number five (5) and six (6) of
section two, in township nine (9) South of Range twenty
(20) in the district of Land subject to sale, at Newnansville
Florida containing sixty one (61) acres and Eighty nine
hundredths of an acre, according to the official plat of the
survey of Lands returned to the land office by the
surveyor general, Together with all the privileges thereunto
belonging or in any wise appertaining, To have and to
hold, the above granted premises in fee simple.
And the said Tillman Valentine and his wife for Them-
-selves their heirs, Executors and administrators, the said
bargained premises together with all the rights, titles and
privileges thereunto belonging or in any-wise thereunto
appertaining, unto the said Reuben Bennett, and his wife
their heirs, Executors, Administrators, and assigns, will forever
warrant and defend against the claim or claims of any other
person or persons whatever, as far as in law or Equity, they or
either of them, may be bound to do. Signed sealed and
delivered, this fourth day of February A.D. 1867

Alachua County } Personally came before me Mrs. Mary
A. Valentine, who being interrogated separate and apart from
her husband, acknowledges and declares, that that the foregoing deed
to which she has made herself a party, was made on her part
freely and voluntarily, and without any compulsion, constraint,
apprehension, or fear of or from her husband, what ever, For the
purpose of relinquishment of Dower, Witness my hand, and
official Signature this fourth day of February A.D. 1867
