Know all men by these Presents
That we Stephen Bryant, Sidney Bryant and Sydney Bryan
his wife of the County of Alachua State of Florida in consider
ation of the sum of Fifty ($50) Dollars to us in hand paid and
by us received do hereby bargain, sell, grant and convey unto
John G. Smith Thomas Sims, Henry Jenkins, and Samuel
Reddish Trustees of the County afore said and their successors
in Office - which successors shall be chosen or appointed as
hereinafter provided, the following described premises, situated
in the County and State afore said, to wit: One acre of ground
described as follows, Beginning at a Lightwood Post 6 chains
and 36 links West of the North East Corner of the S.E quarter
of the NE quarter of Section 23 Township 8 S Range 21 Est
thence W 318 links thence S 318 links thence E 318 links
thence North 318 links to the place of beginning.  Together with
all the tenements hereditaments and appertainances, with
every right privilige title interest and estate reversion
remainder and easements thereunto belonging or in any
wise appertaining to have and to hold for Free School
Purposes for the education of the Children of all Citizens
of the County as now defined by the Laws of the State
and General Government and those who may be here
after provided for by Competent Legislation Forever
Whenever a vacancy shall occur in the position of either
of the Trustees by death resignation, removal from the
County or other cause, the remaining Trustees shall, with
in sixty days thereafter, Elect a competent person to
fill such vacancy, But in case of failure on their part
to do so, then the Superintendant of Public instruction
of the state shall on the recomendation of the Board
of Public Instruction for the County in which the Premises
are located, appoint a competent Person to fill the vacancy
A Certified Copy of the proceeding of the Election by
the Trustees or an Official Copy of the appointment by
the Superintendant of Public Instruction respectively, Shall
be filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Court of the
County to be by him recorded in the Record of Deeds
We the said Stephen Bryan and Sidney Bryan his
wife do hereby covenant with the said John G. Smith
Thomas Sims Henry Jenkins and Samuel Reddish
Trustees and their Successors in Office That we are law
fully seized of said Premises, That they are free from
all incumbrances, that ae have good right and lawfull
authority to sell the same, and that we will warrant and
defend the title to the said Premises against the
lawfull claims of all persons
