This Indenture made the Fifteenth day of July in the year
one thousand eight hundred and seventy three between Joseph
S. Cook (widower) of the City of Brooklyn, County of Kings
and State of New York, party of the first part and Frederick O.
Thorns of the same place party of the second part. Witnesseth
that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of
the sum of Ten thousand ($1000000) Dollars lawful money of
the United States of American to him in hand paid by the
said party of the second part at and before the ensealing and
delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
and the said party of the second part and his heirs executors and
administrators, forever released and discharged from the
same by these presents hath>u> granted bargained sold, aliened
remised, released, conveyed and confirmed and by these
presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise, release, convey
and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to
his heirs and assigns forever All that certain piece or parcel of
land, situate, lying and being in the County of Alachua and
State of Florida and which is known and described as follows
to wit; Lots Nos one (1) two (2) three (3) and four (4) in Block No
five (5) in Range No two (2) in the town of Newnansville in the
County of Alachua aforesaid. Also the South half of Lot No four
(4) Block three (3) Range No one (1) in said town of Newnansville
also a part of the North half of Lot No five (5) in Block No four (4)
in Range No one (1) in said town of Newnansville which is bound=
ed and described as follows to wit; Beginning at the Northeast
corner of said Lot No five (5) and running thence due South forty
two (42) feet, thence due west one hundred and five (105) feet
thence due North forty two (42) feet and thence due East one hund=
dred and five (105) feet to the point or place of beginning con=
taining Four thousand four hundred and ten (4410) feet,
also in Block No three (3) Lot No four (40 Range No one (1) Village
Survey in said town of Newnansville described as follows to wit;
Beginning at a corner Stake of the village land survey thence running
South one hundred and five (105) feet, thence West one hundred
and five (105) feet, thence North one hundred and five (105) feet
and thence East one hundred and five (105) feet the point
or place of beginning. Being the same premises conveyed to the
party of the first part by Deed duly recorded in Book "H" of Deeds
in said Office of record in said Alachua County. Together with
all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances
thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion
and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof |
