State of Florida}
Alachua County  } This Indenture made and entered
into this the second day of September AD (1873) Eighteen hun=
dred and seventy three between Samuel Y. Finley of said
State and County the party of the first part and William
Birney the party of the second part, Witnesseth That for
and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred Dollars
agreed to be paid by the party of the second part to the party
of the first part, the said party of the first part hath bargained
sold, aliened and conveyed and by these presents doth sell
and confirm unto the party of the second part all that
certain Lot and parcel of land lying and being in the Town
of Gainesville in said State and County and described
as follows - viz; "That Lot or parcel of land Known in the
Original Survey of said Town as the South East quarter of Block
Four (4) Range Five (5)-" To have and to hold unto the said
party of the second part his heirs and assigns in fee simple
title forever the above described Lot of land together with the 
improvements and appurtenances thereunto belonging.
    And the said party of the first part doth warrant and
covenant with the said party of the second part that he
will defend the said party of the second part his heirs and
assigns in the peaceable enjoyment of the same against all
the claims of himself and against the claims of all persons
claiming under him. In testimony whereof the said party
of the first part hereunto sets his hand and affixes his seal this
the day and year first above written.
