Know all men by these presents that Virginius J.
Tobias Esqr of Charleston in the County of Charleston
of South Carolina has been duly appointed assignee of
the Estate of Cohen Hanckel and Company of Charleston
of the County of Charleston, State of South Carolina, who
have been adjudged Bankrupt by the decree of this Court
Now therefore I, Julius C. Carpenter one of the Registers of
said Court in Bankruptcy, by virtue of the authority
vested in me by the Fourteenth Section of the Act of
Congress, entitled, "An act to establish a uniform system
of Bankruptcy throughout the United States," approved
March 2, 1867, do herby convey and assign to the said
Viginius J. Tobias Esq., Assignee as aforesaid, all the
Estate, Real and Personal of the said Cohen Hanckel and
Company, Bankrupts, including all property, whatsoever
kind of which they are possessed or in which they were
interested or entitled to have on the ninth day of May
A.D. 1873: together with all their Deeds, Books and Papers,
relating thereto, saving and excepting such property as
is exempted from the operation of this assignment by the
Provisions of said Fourteenth Section of said Act. To have
and to hold all the foregoing premises to the said
Viginius J. Tobias and to his heirs forever. In Trust
Nevertheless for the use and purposes, and with the powers
and subject to the conditions and limitations prescribed
and set forth in said Act.
