State of Florida}
Alachua County  }  This indenture made on the 
(1st) first day of October in the year of our Lord one 
thousand eight hundred and seventy three
between W.T. Shuford of the first part and Jacob 
Winecoff of the second part. Witnesseth that for 
and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred 
Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sign- 
ing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof 
is hereby acknowledged the said parties of the 
first part have given, granted, bargained, sold,
delivered and by these presents do so grant, bar-
gain, sell and deliver to the said party of the second 
part and to his heirs and assigns the following 
described real estate that is to say that certain 
Town Lot in the village of Micanopy, State and 
County aforesaid bounded on the North by 
Lot now owned and occupied by David McCredie
on the East by lots now owned by William Edwards
& Jacob Winecoff, on the South by lots now 
owned by William Edwards and occupied by Gadson
Frazier and on the West by Lot now owned and oc-
cupied by George S. Riggs, containing one acre of 
land more or less, with Buildings, Engine Gin's and 
all the appurtenances thereunto attached. To have and 
to hold the said Town Lot, Buildings, Engine Gin's and 
appurtenances thereunto attached to the same belong-
ing or in any wise appertaining to the said party of the 
second part, his heirs executors, administrators 
and assigns in fee simple forever.
     And the said parties of the first part covenant
and agree with the said party of the second part thus 
they are seized in fee of the aforegranted and conveyed 
premises that they are free from all incumbrances 
that they have good right to sell and convey the 
same to the said party of the second part and that 
he will and his heirs, executors and administrators 
shall warrant and defend the title to the same to the 
said party of the second part his heirs executors admin-
istrators and assigns against the lawful claims 
and demands of all persons.
     In testimony whereof the said parties of the 
second part have hereunto set his hand and
