Alachua County } Know all men by these presents
that I, William W. Scott in the town of Newnansville
in the County of Alachua and State of Florida for
and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and
fifty Dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged do give grant sell and convey
to Dianah Tucker and after her death unto Robert
Stephens and Polly Tucker, children by her said husband
Daniel Tucker all that tract of land known as the
South East quarter of section 9 Township 7 Range 18 East
and consisting of one hundred and twenty acres (120) more
or less to have and to hold the same unto the said Dianah
Tucker and to the above named heirs to their sole use
forever, and I, the said William W. Scott covenant with
the said Dianah Tucker, her heirs and assigns that
I am lawfully seized in fee of said premises, that they are
free from all incumbrances, that I have a good right to
sell as aforesaid and that I will warrant and defend the
same to the said Dianah Tucker and her heirs against the
lawful demands of all persons and Mary E. Scott wife of
the said William W. Scott in consideration of the sum of
five Dollars to her in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged do hereby release to the said Dianah Tucker
and her heirs all her right title or interest to or in any
Dower in the aforegranted premises. In testimony whereof
I the said William W. Scott together with Mary E. Scott
have hereunto set our hands and seals this the 13th day of
October in the year 1871. |
