Alachua County  } Before me personally came
R.F. Taylor who being duly sworn says that
he saw Edward Haile sign seal and deliver the
foregoing instrument of writing for the uses and
purposes therein contained and expressed and
that he together with John Haile signed the same
as subscribing witnesses thereto }

Alachua County  } Whereas Louis A. Barnes as
Sheriff of the County of Alachua by virtue of
his Office as such Sheriff the day of
AD 1873 by an order issuing out of the Probate
Court of said County of Alachua duly appointed
and qualified as administrator of the Estate of
Daniel Scott deceased late a resident of said
County, and whereas the said Louis A. Barnes as
such Ex Officio administrator of said Daniel
Scott deceased did on the 4th day of October AD 1873
petition his Honor J.H. Goss Judge of the Circuit Court
in and for Alachua County Florida for an order
for the sale of lands of the said Daniel Scott decd
for the payment of the debts of the said Daniel Scott
dece'd and whereas the said J.H. Goss Judge of the
said Circuit Court in and for Alachua County
in the 5th Judicial Circuit of Florida did on the
said Fourth day of October AD 1873 grant an order
authorizing the sale of the land of the estate of the
said Daniel Scott deceased for the payment of his
debts, the said lands being the same hereinafter
to be described, and whereas in said last men=
tioned order I, R.F. Taylor was duly nominated au=
thorized and appointed Commissioner for the
sale of the said lands of the said Daniel
