Scott deceased and authorized to conduct the said
sale and make a report of the same to the said Circuit
Court, and whereas pursuant to said last mentioned
order the said lands of the said Daniel Scott deceased
hereinafter to be described were duly advertised by
the said L.A. Barnes Ex Officio Administrator on
this the first day of December AD 1873 and whereas
I, the said R.F. Taylor Commissioner pursuant
to said order did on this first day of December
AD 1873 sell the said lands hereinafter described
at public auction before the Court House door in the
town of Gainesville Alachua County Florida
to Mrs. M. A. Lewis for the sum of Three hundred
Dollars, that being the highest sum bid for the
same and she being the bidder thereof.
  Now therefore know all men by these presents
that I, R.F. Taylor as such Commissioner afore
said under and by virtue of said order granted
as aforesaid by his Honor J.H. Goss Judge of said
Circuit Court and under and by virtue of said pub
lic sale by me duly made under and in pursuance of
said order for and in consideration of the said sum
of Three hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by the
said Mrs. M.A. Lewis, have granted, bargained sold
and conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain
sell and convey unto her the said Mrs. M.A. Lewis
the following described real Estate sold as aforesaid
by me as such aforesaid Commissioner under the
said order of Court, as the property of said Daniel
Scott dec'd for the payment of his debts, to wit: All
that certain tract, piece or parcel of land lying, being
and situated in the County of Alachua in the State of
Florida known and described as Section twenty four
township Ten Range twenty one = and all of that portion
of Section Nineteen lying West of "Lockloosa Creek"
supposed to be three hundred acres - also a small
fractional portion of section thirty, Township Ten Range
Twenty two lying North of the ditch running upon a
straight line from the head of the ditch due East to
the creek - also the North East quarter of Section Twenty=
five, Township Ten, Range Twenty two, making in
all about one thousand acres =
