Whereas the one hundred and sixty acres of land heretofore
and at present held by me as a Homestead under the Con=
stitution of Florida and lying in Section (30) Thirty
Township (7) seven south Range (20) twenty East be=
longs of right to Catherine H. Birney and the and the
legal title conveyed to me originally by mistake was
allowed to remain vested in me for a special purpose
which has failed, which facts will more fully appear
by referring to a Deed from the grantor herein to Lenard
G. Dennis dated the 27th day of December AD 1870 and
filed for record on the same day and duly recorded
March 30th 1871 in Book H pages 448 and 449 of the
Deed recorded of Alachua County Florida;
    Now therefore I, William Birney for the purposes that the
said Real Estate so held as Homestead may be conveyed by
the grantee herein to the true owner in fee. Catherine H. Birney

her heirs and assigns forever to her and their separate^free
from all life estate and all interference claim, or control
on my part and in consideration of one Dollar to me
paid by Solomon F. Halliday of the city of Gainesville
Florida, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have
given granted, bargained, and by these presents doth give
grant bargain sell, alien, release, convey and confirm
unto the said Solomon F. Halliday and to his heirs and
assigns forever all that piece parcel or tract of land
lying and being in Alachua County Florida and known
and described as follows; one hundred and sixty acres
more or less heretofore held by me as a Homestead lying
in Section (30) Thirty Township (7) seven South of Range (20)
Twenty East, being the South half of Lot Three (3) the South
half of Lot four (4) The North half of Lot nine (9) and the 
North half of Lot Ten (10) in said Section Township and
Range. Together with all and singular the tenements
hereditaments and appurtenances belonging or appertain=
ing thereto and all the rents issues and profits thereof.
                                        whatsoever
and all the estate right title and interest^of the grantor herein 
of in and to the same and every part and parcel thereof.
To have and to hold all and singular the above granted
and described land and premises with the appurtenances
unto the said party of the second part her heirs and
assigns to their only proper benefit use and behoof forever.
