    This Indenture made the third day of January in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy
between William T. Whetstone and Margeret A. Whetstone
his wife, of the town of Newnansville, County of Alachua
and state of Florida of the one part and Mary A. Simpson
of the other part: Witnesseth, that the said William and
Margerett as well for and in consideration of the natural love
and affection which they the said William and Margarett
hath and beareth unto and toward the said Mary, as also
for the better maintenance, support and livelihood of her;
the said William and Margarett has given, granted, aliened, 
enfeoffed   and confirmed and by these presents doth
give, grant, alien, enfeoff and confirm unto the said Mary
her heirs and assigns all that messuage or tract of land
situate in the town of Newnansville, in the county of Alachua
and state of Florida, and more particularly known as follows:
commencing at a stake on the east side of the avenue leading
from Newnansville to Alachua Seminary in Section eleven
~11~ in township eight ~8~ in Range eighteen and running east
two hundred and ten (210) feet, thence north four hundred and 
forty feet ~440~ thence west two hundred and ten feet ~210~
thence south four hundred and forty feet ~440~ to the place of
beginning, together with all and singular, the hereditaments and
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining
and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders,
rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate, right, title,
interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them, the
said William and Margarett of in and to the said messuage
tenements and premises and every part and parcel thereof
with their and every of their appurtenances. To have and
to hold the said messuage, tenement, hereditaments and 
all and singular the premises hereby granted and confirm
ed or mentioned or so intended to be with their and every
of their appurtenances unto the said Mary her heirs and
assigns to them and their sole use and behoof forever.
  And the said William and Margaret for themselves,
their heirs, executors and administrators doth covenant
and agree to and with the said Mary her heirs and as-
signs shall and may lawfully from time to time and at
all times hereafter, peaceably and quietly have hold, use
and occupy, possess and enjoy the said messuage and
premises hereby granted and confirmed or mentioned or
