Baltimore City   } Be it known, that on this day,
before me, a Commissioner appointed by the Governor 
of the state of Florida, and duly commissioned and
qualified to take acknowledgeedment of deed &c. in the
state of Maryland, that are to be used or recorded in the
state of Florida, personally appeared Charles W. Brush
to me known of my own knowledge to be the party describ
ed in and who executed the foregoing deed, and acknowl-
edged the same to be his his act.
  (    )           In testimony whereof, I have hereunto
(  seal  )         subscribed my name and affixed my
  (    )           seal of office this twenty second day of
                   February A.D. eighteen hundred and
                   seventy-three.

This Indenture made and entered into this the fifteenth
day of August A.D. 1873 between John L. Barton of Chautauqua
County State of New York, Olivia A. Porter and Watson
Porter her husband of Alachua County Florida party of the
first part and Ephraim Montgomery Sr. of Alachua County
Florida party of the second part Witnesseth that the party
of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of One
hundred Dollars lawful money of the United State to them
in hand paid at and before the ensealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given
granted, bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents
doth give, grant, bargain sell and convey unto the said party
of the second part all that certain Lot parcel or tract of land
lying and being situate in Alachua County Florida in the
Arredondo grant in Section Twenty seven (27) T. 10 R 19 S.& E.
and more particularly described as Lot No (3) Three as per re=
cord of the survey of said Lot recorded Deed  -Book "I" of the
records of Alachua County Florida on pages no 56 & 57 con=
taining ten and one half (10 1/2) acres more or less with the
