Alachua County } This indenture made and entered into
this the fourth day of August eighteen hundred and seventy-
three A.D. between L.A. Barnes sheriff of said county of the first
part and Richard L. Wilson and Thomas P. McHenry
of the second part, Witnesseth-
That whereas by a virtue of sundry judgements
issue out of the Justice's Court of said County and to him
the said Sheriff directed, he was commanded, that of the
goods and chattels lands and tenements of Edward Remington
he cause to be made the sum of twenty-three dollars
and thirty-four cents with interest thereon together with
cost of suit, which Lee Williams lately on the 7th day of
December 1867 recorded in Justice Court against the
said Edward Remington; and; also by virtue of a certain
other execution issued out of Justice Court for said
County, and to the said Sheriff directed, he was commanded
that of the goods and chattels, lands and tenements of the
said Edward Remington he cause to be made the sum
of Twenty Twenty dollars and thirty-four cents, with inter-
est thereon together with interest at the rate of costs of suit
which Lew Williams, lately on the seventh day of December
1867 recovered in Justice Court against the said
Edward Remington and also by virtue of a certain other
execution issued out of Justice Court for said County and
to him the said Sheriff directed he was commanded that
of the goods and chattels, lands and Tenements of the
said Edward Remington he cause to be made the sum
of eighty-four dollars and forty-cents, with interest thereon
together with the cost of suit, which Joseph Baldwin lately
Dec A.D. 1867 recovered in Justice Court
against the said Edward Remington; And whereas, I,
L.A. Barnes as sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of said
writs did on the 27th day of June A.D. 1873 levy upon
and seize the property hereinafter described, and did
by virtue of the said writs and pursuant to the statute
in such cases made and provided, duly and advertised
said property for sale on the fourth day of Aug. A.D. 1873.
and did on that day sell the same at public auction
according to law to Richard L. Willson and Thomas P.
McHenry for the sum of Ten dollars being the highest
sum bid for the same.
