County of Alachua} This Indenture made and
entered into this third day of May AD 1873
between J.L. Barton and Olivia Ann Porter
parties of the first part and John Ramsey, Virgil
George, Shade Dukes, Amos Lewis, Caesar
Danzy and Haywood Donaldson Trustees of
Ebeneezer Church and their successor in Office
parties of the second part, all of the State and
County aforesaid Witnesseth that the parties
of the first part for and in consideration of the
sum of one Dollar in hand paid by these parties
of the second part, together with their further desire
to educate the people and spread the Gospel in
that vicinity, do hereby grant bargain sell and
convey unto the said parties of the second part
all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and
being situate in the state and County aforesaid
which can be referred to on file in the Clerk's Office
on the Plat of the land of Porter and Barton surveyed
by John S. Banks, County Surveyor December 25th AD
1872 and described as follows viz; Commencing at
a Stake on the S.W. corner of Lot No 5 (five) thence
south six chains and thirty six links, thence West
three chains and eighteen links, thence North six chains
and thirty six links, thence East three chains and
Eighteen links to the place of beginning together with
all the privileges thereto pertaining; To have and to
hold the above granted premises to said parties of the
second part (Trustees of Ebeneezer Church) and their 
successors forever and the said J.S. Barton and Olivia
Ann Porter, their heirs Executors and administrators shall
forever warrant and defend against the lawful claims and
demands of all persons whatsoever. In testimony
whereof the said J.S. Barton and Olivia Ann Porter have here-
unto set their hands and seals this third day of May AD 1873
