a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally
appeared James M. Sparkman and Sinah
Sparkman to me well known and acknowledged
that they executed the foregoing Deed for the purposes
therein mentioned.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto

James M. Sparkman and his wife Sinah Spark-
man and severally acknowledged that they signed
the foregoing Deed for the purposes therein contain-
ed and the said Sinah Sparkman being ex-
amined separate and apart from her said husband
declares that she signed the same freely and volun-
tarily and without fear or compulsion of her said
husband.

Alachua County } This Indenture made this the 5th day of Jan-
uary AD 1874 between Louis A. Barnes as Sheriff of Alach-
ua County Florida of the first part and William A. Max-
well of the State of Georgia, the party of the second part.
Witnesseth that whereas in a certain decree in Chancery in
the cause of William A. Maxwell vs. Charles P. Crawford
for the foreclosure of Mortgage rendered by the Judge of the
Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida for said County on the
fourth day of November AD 1873 and recorded in the
