party of the first part as Sheriff as aforesaid was
ordered to sell the lands contained in said mort-
gage in satisfaction of said decree and where as the
said party of the first part in pursuance of said
decree and according to law duly and legally ad-
vertised the within described land for sale on the
Fifth day of January AD 1874 and did on that
day sell the same to William A. Maxwell for the
sum of three hundred Dollars, it being the highest
and best bid made for said land: Now know
all men by these presents that I, Louis A. Barnes
as Sheriff as aforesaid in consideration of the said
sum of Three hundred Dollars and in consideration
of the premises have bargained, sold aliened and 
conveyed and by these presents doth sell and confirm
unto the said William A. Maxwell the party of the
second part his heirs and assigns all that certain
tract of land lying and being in Alachua County
Florida known in the survey of said County as section
Thirty-five (35) and section Thirty-six (36) Township (7)
seven Range Eighteen (18) East & South and the follow-
ing described parcels in Township eight (8) Range
Eighteen (18) E.& S. The east half of section two (2) and
the East half of North West quarter of section two (2) and
NW 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section (2) two and the North half
of section one (1) in said Range and Township con-
taining Eighteen hundred and sixty acres (1860) more
or less being the land described in said Mortgage from
the said Charles P. Crawford to the said William A.
Maxwell = To have and hold unto the said party of the
second part his heirs and assigns the aforesaid lands
and premises in fee simple as freely and completely as
the said party of the first part as Sheriff as aforesaid
could or ought to sell or convey the same by virtue of the premises.
