expressed in said Deed made this day-
Signed, sealed and delivered this January 26th AD
1874 - The condition of this Bond is such that
whereas the said C.D.H. Snead and wife have this day
given a Deed to the said Nathan Spencer for the
purposes therein specified and whereas there may be
defect in said title or in case any complaints
damages shall a come to the said Spencer then the
said Snead and his heirs and assigns will protect
and defend the said title to the said Lot. Now should
the said Snead & wife indemnify & save harmless the
said Nathan Spencer against all persons whatsoever and
against the damages, costs & expenses which may be recover-
ed against him or his assigns in case the said title to
this lot should be questioned or litigated then this
obligation to be void, else of full force-
