Alachua County } Know all men by these presents that we
William G. Colson & Adeline Colson his wife of Alachua
County & State of Florida for and in consideration of the
sum of Two hundred Dollars heretofore paid have
bargained sold & conveyed & by these presents do bargain
sell & convey unto James B. Brown of said County & State
all that certain piece or Lot of land situated in the town
of Gainesville, Alachua County & State of Florida, more
particularly described as Lot two (2) Block three (3) Range
five (5) To have and to hold the same unto the said James
B. Brown forever - In witness whereof hereunto set
our hands & seals this 24th day of April A.D. 1873 -

Alachua County } Justice of the Peace in & for said County
personally came Adaline Colson wife of W.G. Colson who
being examined by me separate & apart from her said husband
acknowledged under her hand & seal that this relinquishment
& renunciation of Dower in the above described land is made
freely & voluntarily & without any compulsion, constraint
apprehension or fear of or from her said husband. Given
under my hand & seal this the 24th day of April AD 1873.
