Alachua County  } Know all men by these presents that
we Stephen McCall & Priscilla McCall his wife of
Alachua County & State of Florida of the first part
for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred
Dollars in hand paid by James B. Brown of the same
County & State have bargained sold & conveyed and by
these presents do grant, bargain & sell unto James B.
Brown aforesaid his heirs executors administrators and
assigns all that certain piece or Lot of land situated in
the town of Gainesville Alachua County & State of Florida
more particularly described as Lot two (2) Block three
(3) Range five (5) as appears by surveys of said Town
 To have and to hold the above described piece or lot of land
with the appurtenances there to unto the said James B.
Brown forever  And we do hereby warrant and forever
defend the above described premises unto the said James
B. Brown his heirs and assigns forever against all per-
sons lawfully claiming or to claim the same. In wit-
ness whereof we hereunto set our hands & seals this the 7th day
of May AD 1873-

State of Florida} Before me R.W. Roberds a Justice of
Alachua County  } the Peace in and for said County person-
ally came Priscilla McCall wife of Stephen McCall who
being examined by me separately & apart from her said hus-
band acknowledged under her hand and seal that this
relinquishment & renunciation of Dower in the above de
scribed land is made freely & voluntarily & without any 
compulsion constraint apprehension or fear of or from
her said husband. Given under my hand & seal this
7th day of May AD 1873        }
