         This Indenture, made the third day of
January A.D. one thousand eight Hundred and seventy
between Samuel Lewis of the county of Alachua and
State of Florida, farmer by occupation, of the first part
and Martha Jane Lewis, of the second part witnesseth
that the said party of the first part, for and in consider
ation of the love and affection, as well as five hundred
dollars lawful money of the United States of American, to
him in hand paid by his wife Martha Jane Lewis, party of
the second part, on or before the ensealing of these presence, the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bargained,
sold, aliened, remised, released, conveys, and confirm, and
by these presents, does grant, bargain sell alien remise re
lease convey and confirm, unto the said party of the second party,
and her heirs and assigns, forever, being situated as
follows, viz NW 1/4 of the N.E. 1/2 of sec 4 in Township 12 12 south
of Range 18 East, under the homestead act, and proof having
been made, also one dark Bay pony, one cow and calf. Togeth
er with all and singular, the tenements hereditaments 
and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise apper-
taining, and the reversion, and reversion, remainder and re
mainders, rents, issues, and property whereof, and also all the
estate right title, interest, property - possession claim and
demand whatsoever, as in law as in equity, of the said
party of the first part, of, in, or to the above described premises,
and every part, and parcel thereof, with the appearances, to
have and to hold, all and singular the above mentioned and
described premises together with the appurtenances unto the
said party of the second part, and his heirs and assigns forever
