This Indenture made and entered into this the first
day of January Eighteen Hundred and Seventy Four, Be=
tween James M. Sparkman, of the County of Alachua and
State of Florida, party of the first part and Alexander C.
Beckham of the aforesaid State and County, party of
the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first
part for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred
Dollars to him in hand paid by the said party of the
second part at and before the ensealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted,
bargained, sold, aliened and conveyed and do by these presents
grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm unto the said
party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, All the fol=
lowing lots, tracts or parcels of land situated lying and
being in the County of Alachua and state of Florida and
Known and distinguished by United States Survey as the N.E. 1/4 of
the S.E. 1/4 being in section twenty-three (23) Township eight (8)
South of Range twenty one (21) East containing forty acres (40)
more or less, together with all singular the rights and 
members, tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the
same belonging or in any wise appertaining - To have and to
hold the aforesaid bargained premises together with all and sin=
gular, the rights, members, tenements, hereditaments and ap=
purtenances to the same belonging unto the said party of
the second part his heirs and assigns to his and their own
sole and proper uses, benefit and behoof and the said party
of the first do hereby covenant with the said party of
the second part is lawfully seized of said premises
and have good and lawful right to sell and convey the
same. In testimony whereof the said party of the first part
have hereunto set his hand and seal the day and date
first above written.
