Alachua County } This Indenture made and entered into this
the first day of January one thousand eight hundred and
Seventy three, Between Martha J. Sykes, James F. Sykes, Owen
W. Sykes, Josiah S. Sykes and Henry C. Sykes, of the first
part and Henry C. Carter, party of the second part. Witnesseth, that
for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars
in hand paid to the party of the first part by the party
of the second part at the time of executing this Indenture
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the party of the first
part hath bargained and sold, and doth hereby bargain and
sell unto the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns
all that certain tract or parcel of Land, known and de=
scribed as follows, to wit: Fractional Section fourteen in Town-
ship 12 South of Range twenty two east and containing
one hundred and nineteen acres more or less. To have
and described
and to hold the above granted^premises with all the
rights, improvements and appurtenances thereto belonging
or in any way appertaining to them, their heirs and
assigns forever. And the party of the first part will grant
and forever defend the right and title against all claims
of the aforesaid estate. In witness the party of the first
part doth set their hands and seals the day and year
