Alachua County } Know all men by these presents, that, I,
William Mitchell of the County of Alachua and State
of Florida in consideration of the love for my wife
Susannah Mitchell, and for the sum of one hundred
dollars, to me in hand paid, the receipt whereof I
do hereby acknowledge do hereby give, grant sell, and
convey unto the said Susannah Mitchell her heirs
and assigns one small Bay pony, name John, formerly
owned by Asbery Gray, of said County and State, and two
cows marked split in each ear, and branded J.S. three large
marked under slope in one ear, and smooth crop in the
other, and all the growing crop in my homestead for the
year 1873 and 1874. To have and to hold the said described
property to the said Susannah Mitchell, her heirs and
assigns, to her and their use and behoof forever and
that they are free from all encumbrances, that I
have good right to sell and convey the same to Su=
sannah Mitchell, my wife and that I warrant to
defend the same against the lawful demands of all
persons. In witness whereof I, the said William
Mitchell have hereunto set my hand and seal,
this the 29th day of August, A.D. 1873.
