Alachua County } Know all men by these presents, that I,
William W. Davis of the aforesaid County and State, for
and in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand Five
Hundred dollars in specie lawful money of the
United States of America, in hand paid at and be=
fore the ensealing and delivery of these presents the
receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and for the fur-
ther consideration that William Dixon Lewis, of said County
and State, shall provide me with ****, lodgings and
the necessary comforts of life, have granted, bar-
gained, sold and conveyed, and by these presents
do grant, bargain, sell, alien, release, remise and
convey unto him the said William Dixon Lewis
of the said County of Alachua, in the State
of Florida, the following described real estate
to wit:- All that certain section lot, piece, or parcel
of land, lying being and situated in the County
of Alachua, in the State of Florida, in what is
known as the "Arredondo Grant," particularly des=
cribed, according to the maps and plats of said
grant, surveyed and made by David H. Burr, and
Henry Washington, as Section (14) Fourteen, in Township nine,
south, Range (20) twenty, east, containing six hundred
and forty acres more or less: Also all that certain
other section, lot, piece or parcel of land, lying, being
and situated in said County of Alachua, in the
State of Florida in said "Arredondo Grant" known on
said map and platt of said Grant as section twenty
two (22) in Township Ten (10) South, Range twenty (20),
east, containing also Six hundred and forty acres, more
or less together with all and singular the rights mem-
bers, tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances
thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining.
To have and to hold the same to him, the said
William Dixon Lewis, his heirs executors, administra
tors and assigns, in fee simple forever. And I do fur
ther by these presents hereby covenant and agree
and my heirs, executors, and administrators, shall
forever warrant and defend the said William
Dixon Lewis in his title to and in the full
free, quiet, peaceable enjoyment of the property
