Alachua County  } This Indenture made and entered
into this 23rd day of July AD 1874 between T.G. Pratt
Thompson of the County of Alachua and State of Florida
of the first part and Mary and Mahala Jones of the
same State and County of the second part Witnesseth
That the said party of the first part for and in con-
sideration of the sum of Eighty Eight Dollars paid
by the parties of the second part, hath bargained sold
and conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain
sell and convey unto the said Mary and Mahala
Jones and their assigns forever, all the certain piece of
land in the Town of Gainesville, Alachua County
Florida, being the North half of Lot 10 in Section
5 Range 20 township 10 containing 4 acres, less
15 fifteen feet on E & W ends and 15 fifteen feet on
North side to be left for street. To have and to
hold the said together with all and singular the ten
ements and appurtenances and all and singular the
Estate, title and interest of the party of the first
part therein. And the said party of the first part doth
hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Mary
and Mahala Jones that at the time of the delivery hereof
the said party was the lawful owner of the premises
above granted and that he will warrant and forever
defend the same against all persons hereafter claiming or
to claim the same.  In witness whereof I have the day
and year above written.
