Alachua County  } Know all men by these presents that
I, J. Maxey Dell of the State & County aforesaid for and
in consideration of the sum of Thirteen hundred and nine-
ty Dollars to me in hand paid, the receipt of whereof I hereby
acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant, bargain sell and convey unto the Jesse Welsh
Everett Brooks, Joseph Brooks and Edward Lang their heirs
executors administrators and assigns the following piece or
parcel of land to wit two Hundred and seventy eight acres
of land situated in North West corner of the Grant known
as the Gary grant, which grant is composed of part of Sec
13, 14, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 Township 10 Range 19
E. Situated  being in the County of Alachua  State of Florida
as appears by the map & survey of Burr & Washington. To have and
to hold all my right, title and interest in and to the afore de-
scribed land unto the said Jesse Welsh, Everett Brooks,
Joseph Brooks & Edward Lang, their heirs executors administrators
and assigns forever. And I hereby convenant and defend this title
to the above named parties to the within described premises and
against all lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In witness
whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this 28th
day of July AD 1874.

Alachua County  } Personally came William Ellis before me
who being duly sworn stated on oath that he saw J. Maxey Dell
sign seal and deliver the foregoing Deed for the uses and
purposes therein contained and that he together with
James B. Dawkins signed as witnesses thereto.
