This Indenture made and entered into this
4th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and seventy four between Alex-
ander Goodson and his wife Sela Goodson of
the County of Alachua and State of Florida of the
first part and William J. Vereen of the City of
New York of the second part Witnesseth that said
parties of the first part for and in consideration
of the sum of one thousand and six Hundred Dol-
lars and eighty Dollars lawful money in hand
paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,
before the sealing and delivery of these presents
have this day bargained, sold transferred, conveyed and
confirmed unto the said party of the second part
Lot No 1 and Lot No 2 in Block Ten in the Town
of Waldo Alachua County Florida, Fronting together sixty
six (66) feet on Sparkman Street seventy five (75) feet
on Earle street sixty five feet On Kennard Street sixty
six (66) feet. Together with all the right and title
claim or interest of the said parties of the first part
or either of them to the Store house built on said land
with all the rights members and buildings and ap-
purtenances to the said lots of land in any way
appertaining together with the out buildings on said
lots. To have and to hold to him the party of the 
second part his heirs and assigns and legal
representatives forever in fee simple. The said parties
of the first part doth further covenant with the party
of the second part that they are the rightful and
lawful owners of the said property and hath good
and lawful right to convey the same and they the
said parties of the first part doth hereby warrant
and defend the party of the second part in the
above described property against all other parties or claim-
aints, both now and forever. Sealed and delivered
the day and date above mentioned in presence
