Alachua County  } Whereas by virtue an executor
issued out of the circuit court of Alachua
County in the 5th Judicial Circuit of Florida
and to be directed in favor of Benjamin W. Powell
and against S.M. Stoughton as administratrix of the
Estate of Reuben S. Stoughton deceased I, Louis
A. Barnes Sheriff of said State & County was
commanded of the goods chattels lands and
tenements of the said Reuben S. Stoughton deceased
I cause to be made the sum of Eighty six and
27/100 Dollars and costs and Whereas under
and by virtue of said Executor I did as said
Sheriff on the 24th day of September AD 1874
levy upon the property hereinafter described and
did duly advertise the same according to law
for sale on the 22nd day of November AD 1874
and did on the said 2nd day of November AD 1874
sell the same at public outcry before the Court
House door in the Town of Gainesville Florida
during the legal hours of sale according to law
and whereas Esther M. Powell bid the sum of
ninety six Dollars at said sale that being the
highest sum bid for the same.
  Now therefore Know all men by these presents
that I Louis A. Barnes as Sheriff of Alachua County
Florida for and in consideration of the premises and
for and in consideration of the sum of ninety six Dol
lars to me in hand paid by the said Esther M. Powell
