M.F. Miller who being duly sworn says that he saw
James D. Matheson and James T. McMillan as
Trustees for the Estate of John W. Anderson deceased
sign seal and deliver the foregoing instrument for the
uses and purposes as therein contained and expressed
and that he together with Thomas W. Chesnut
signed the same as subscribing witnesses thereto

County of Alachua} This Indenture made this the
Fourth day of January in the year of our Lord
one Thousand eight hundred and seventy five
between Edwin W. L'Engle party of the first part
and the Piedmont and Arlington Life Insurance
Company of Richmond Virginia a corporation duly
established by authority of the commonwealth Virginia
Witnesseth:-
     That whereas Henry Elliott and Edwin W.
L'Engle are indebted to the Piedmont and Arlington
Life Insurance Company in a sum of money and
the party of the first part desires to the said
Piedmont and Arlington Life Insurance Company
in the payment of all sums that are or may be
due by the said Henry Elliott and Edwin W. L'Engle
Now therefore this Indenture Witnesseth that the
said party of the first part Edwin W. L'Engle for and
in consideration of the above premises and also for
the further sum of one Dollar to him in hand paid the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted
bargained sold and aliened, remised released and con
veyed and confirmed and by these presents does grant
bargain sell alien remise release convey and confirm
unto the said Piedmont and Arlington Life Insurance Company
