Justice of the Peace in and for said County Alexander
H. Perry personally came, who is well known to
me and acknowledged signing the foregoing in-
strument of writing in presence of Noah Townsend
and S.V. Gaskins the two subscribing witnesses
thereto for the purposes therein set forth

of the Peace do hereby certify unto all whom it
may concern that Mary M. Perry wife of the within
this
named A.H. Perry did^day appear before me
and upon being privately and separately examined
before me did declare that she did freely and
voluntarily without any compulsion or dread or
fear of any persons whomsoever renounce, release
and forever relinquish unto the within named Samuel
Hammond his heirs and assigns all her interest
and Estate and also all her right and claim of Dower
of in and to all and singular the premises within
mentioned and released. Given under my hand and
seal this 26th day of January AD 1874
