acknowledged the execution thereof to be their free act and
deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the
said Kate V. Darwin on a private examination by me
separate and apart from her husband did acknowledge
that the said instrument was made freely and voluntar-
ily and without any compulsion constraint apprehension
or fear of or from her said husband.
      In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
      and affixed my official seal this 16th day
      of December AD 1873.

This Indenture made 15th day of December in the year
AD 1873 between Asahel G. Darwin and Kate V. Darwin
his wife of the Township of Bloomfield State of New Jersey
party of the first part and Willet S. Mair assignee in
Bankruptcy of the Estate and effects of the Bank of Mad-
ison - a Bankrupt of the second part Witnesseth,
That the said parties of the first part for and in considera-
tion of the sum of One Hundred Dollars lawful money
of the United States of America to them in hand paid by
the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing
and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged hath remised released and quit claimed
and by these doth remise, release and quit claim unto
the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns
forever all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and
being in the County of Alachua and State of Florida and
part of the Grant known as the Arrodonda Grant the first
of which is described as follows; - One hundred and four
acres out of and parcelled from a tract known and de-
scribed as the George I.F. Clark Spannish Government Grant
lying in Range nineteen (19) Township ten (10) which said
original tract contained Five hundred acres and the one
hundred and four acres herein intended to be conveyed
being a parcel or slip off the North Easterly part thereof
