residing in said City of New York personally ap-
peared Asahel G. Darwin and Kate V. Darwin his
wife to me known to be the persons described in and who
executed the foregoing instrument and acknowledgement the
execution thereof to be their free act and deed for the
purposes therein mentioned. And to said Kate V.
Darwin on a private examination by me separate and
apart from her said husband did acknowledge that
the said instrument was made freely and voluntarily
and without any compulsion constraint apprehension
or fear of or from her said husband
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand

Alachua County } This Indenture made on the 1th day
of July 1873 between G.W. Means and his wife Mattie
S. Means of the first part and Charles H. Riggs and George
W. Riggs of the second part Witnesseth that whereas on
the 11th day of March AD 1870 the said parties of the first
part sold to the said parties of the second part for the sum of
one hundred and fifty Dollars that certain Town lot in the
village of Micanopy containing one acre of land more or less
bounded on the south by street leading to Newnansville and imme-
diately opposite the lot of G.S. Riggs, on the west by the lot of Mrs.
Georgia Cooper, on the North by lot of C.C. Manigault and the
East by lot of David McCredie, and whereas the said parties of
the second part have paid in full the purchase money for said
town lot the receipt is hereby acknowledged, now therefore for
the foregoing consideration the said parties of the first part have
granted given bargained sold and conveyed & by these presents
do give grant bargain sell and convey to the parties of the second
part the said Town lot above mentioned & described together with
all and singular the house, buildings, improvements and appur-
tenances to the belonging or in anywise appertaining - to have and |
