and to hold the same to the proper use benefit and
behoof of the said parties of the second part their heirs executors
administrators and assigns in fee simple forever. And
the said parties of the first part covenant & agree with the
said parties of the second part that they are seized in fee
of the premises aforesaid that they are free from all encum
brances, that they have good right to convey the same to the said
parties of the second part and that they will warrant & defend
the same to the said parties of the second part against the
lawful claims & demands of all persons. In testimony
whereof the said parties of the first have hereunto set their 
hand and affixed their seals the day and year first above written.

State of Florida} Know all men by these presents that I
Alachua County  } Mattie L. Means, wife of G.W. Means of
my own free will & accord & without any compulsion con-
straint or fear of or from my said husband became a party
to the foregoing Indenture of Deed & thereby relinquish all my
right of Dower in and to the said town lot therein conveyed to
the said parties of the second part named in said Deed
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my
seal on this 1st day of July AD 1873

Alachua County  } Personally appeared before me J.F. Noland a
Justice of the Peace, in and for the County & State aforesaid Mattie
S. Means who on a private examination separate and apart from
her said husband acknowledges that she signed the foregoing acknowl
edgement of Dower of her own free will & accord and for the purposes
therein set forth. Witness my hand & seal on this 1st day of July AD 1873
