State of Florida} This indenture made this the first day
Alachua County  } of January in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred seventy four Between Mina D.
Downing of the said State and County above written party
of the first part and James Valentine of the same place of
the second part, Witnesseth that the said party of the
first part in consideration of the sum of one hundred
and twenty five Dollars to her in hand paid hath
sold and by these presents doth grant & convey unto 
the said party of the second part his heirs and as-
signs All that tract or parcel of land situated in
Alachua County Known and described as follows Lot
Numbered two and five acres to be measured from Lot
Numbered one immediately north of the first Lot
(the line to run East and West and to contain forty
acres in all) in Section seventeen (17) Township Seven (7)
Range Eighteen (18) East.  In the district of Land
subject to sale at Newnansville Florida and all with
the appurtenances and all the Estate title and
interest therein of the party of the first part
