Alachua County   } This Indenture made this the 15th day of June
in the year Eighteen Hundred & Seventy four between Hardy
Howard of Said State & County
        Witness that the said Hardy Howard for and in consider
-ation of the sum of Four hundred & Eighty Dollars to him in hand
paid at and before the Signing and Sealing of these Presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged doth hereby grant
bargain sell alien release and convey unto the said Rubin
May his heirs executors and administrators forever in fee all that
lot or parcel of ground lying and being in Alachua County
State of Florida being a portion of a tract of land known as
the Arodondo Grant and discribed as follows that is to say
the west half of the north west quarter of Section Twenty Three
(23) in Township nine(9) in Range Twenty (20) as laid down on
Burr & Washington map of Said Grant and containing Eighty acres
be the same more or less. It being a part of the same ground
which by a deed passed in the case of Brush and others against
Proll et al in the Circuit Court of St Johns County & State of
Florida on the eleventh day of August in the year Eighteen
Hundred and forty nine which decree has been duly recorded
in the Clerk's Office of Alachua County in said State
was adjudged or apportioned as the property belonging to the
estate of Nehemiah Brush Together with all and singular the
right privileges advantages tenenments herditements and appurtenan
-ces  To have and to hold the above discribed lot or parcel of ground
with the appertenances unto the said Reubin May his heirs and
assigns forever.  And the said Hardy Howard doth warrant to defend
the right & title of the above granted property unto the said Rubin
May his heirs executors and administrators against the lawful
claims of all persons whosoever And I Mary Isabella Howard wife of
the said Hardy Howard for the consideration aforesaid for divers other
goods and valuable consideration do hereby release and relinquish all
my dower or right of dower to the lands here before discribed unto
the said Reubin May his heirs executors & Administrators and I do
join my husband in this conveyance for Said purpose
