This Indenture made this 15th day of January AD 1870
Witnesseth that I James H. Roper in consideration of the sum of
five dollars to me paid by F.C. Johnson do hereby sell & convey
to the said Johnson all that tract of land described in the
deed made by me to the said Johnson on the 25th day of May
AD 1868 with the said boundaries described and set forth in
said deed and in addition thereto ten chains more or less
running north on each of the north and south lines of
said lands as set out in said deed to the lands of
James Beattie on the north of said lands upon the same
terms conditions obligation & warranty set forth in said
deed And I hereby declare that I did intend to convey
all the lands set forth in this deed & in said deed of
25th May 1868 & that there was a clerical mistake in
said deed in setting out the length of the north & south
lines of said land in which nine chains & fifty links
were stated instead of nineteen chains and fifty
links which or thereabout is the true measurement of 
the north & south lines of Said tract of land and
that I hereby designate to rectify said mistake &
reform said deed as to said measurement.
