This Indenture made the first day of January in the year
of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and Seventy three
Between W.M. Sherehouse in the county of Alachua and st
State of Florida of the first part and James F. Sykes of
State and County aforesaid of the second part,
Witness that the said party of the first part in consideration
of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars and fifty cents
250 50/100 with 8 percent compounded interest annually lawful
money of the United States to him in hand paid The receipt
where of is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold
aliened remised released conveyed and confirmed and by these
presents doth grant bargain sell alien remis release convey and
confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his
heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract of land
Known and discribed to wit as follows Fractional Section 14
in Township 12 South of Range 22 East containing one hundred
acres more or less together with all and Singular the tene
ments hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging
or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversion
remained and remainders rents issues and profits there of
and also all the estate right title interest claims and demand
whatsoever as well in law as in equity of the Said party of the
first part of in and to the same To have and to hold
the above granted and described premises with the
appurtenances unto the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns to his and their own proper
-tyes benefits and behoof forever provided always and
these presents and upon this consideration that if the
said party of the first part Shall well and truly
pay his certain promissory Note bearing even date
here written given to the Said party of the Second
part for the Sum of two hundred and fifty dollars
and fifty cents lawful money as aforesaid according
to the terms of Said note then these presents Shall Become
void and the Estate hereby granted shall cease and
utterly determin of In witness whereof the Said party of 
the first part to these presents has hereunto set his hand
and Seal the day and year above written
