Sheriffs Deed
State of Florida }
Alachua County   } This indenture made this fourth day of August
AD 1873 between L.A. Barnes Shff of Said County of the first part
and Austin & Ellis of the County of Chatham of the State of Georgia
of the Second part Witnesseth
That whereas by virtue of a writ of Fi Fa issued out of the
Circuit Court for Said County against Coswell Forrest and
Berry M. Williams and whereas I L.A. Barnes as Sheriff aforesaid
by virtue of Said writ did on the 27th day of June AD 1873 Levey upon
and Seize the property hereafter described and did by virtue
of Said writ and pursuant to the Statutes in such cases
made and provided duly advertise the Said property for Sale
on the 4th day of August AD 1873 and did on that day Sell
the Same at Public auction according to Law to Austin &
Ellis for the sum of Seventy five Dollars being the highest
Sum bid for the Same.
      Now therefore Know ye That I the Said L.A. Barnes
as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of the Said writs and
of the Statutes in Such cases made and provided for and
in consideration of Said Sum of Seventy five dollars to me
in hand paid by the Said Austin and Ellis party of 
the Second part, have granted bargained & Sold and
by these presents do grant bargain & Sell unto the Said
Austin & Ellis party of the Second part their heirs and
assigns forever all the following property to wit= all
the right title and itnerest that Coswell Forrest & Berry
H. Williams have or had in or to the E1/2 of Sa and west
half of Sa E quarter of (Sec 34) also the E1/2 of SE1/4 of (Sec 27)
also W1/2 of NW1/4 of (Sec 26) also NW1/4 of NE1/4 & SW1/4 of

NE1/4 & W1/2 of E1/2 of NE1/4 of (Sec 34) also E1/2 of SE1/4 of (Sec
24) also E1/2 of E1/2 in Township (7) seven Range Eighteen (18)
south & east containing Five Hundred & twenty acres more
or less together with the title and interest and Equities
which the said Coswell Forrest & Berry M. Williams had
of in or to the same to have and to hold or fully as I the
Said L.A. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid might could or
ought to Sell and convey the same Given under my
hand and seal this 4th day of August AD 1875
