Grimes County } This Indenture made and entered into this the
twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-two, between Eliza E. Lewis and W.B. Lewis of Grimes County,
State of Texas of the first part and Absolom Jolly of Alachua County
State of Florida party of the second part. Witnesseth, that the said
parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Seven
hundred and forty-six 25/100 dollars to them in hand well and truly paid
by the said Absalom Jolly party of the second part, the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, transferred, conveyed
and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, transfer, and
convey and confirm unto the said Absalom Jolly, his heirs and
assigns, all that certain lot, tract or parcel of land, lying, being, and
situate in Alachua County, state of Florida, known and described as

follows, To Wit:- The east half and the north-east quarter; and the
east half of the south-west quarterl and the north-west uarter of the
South-west quarter of Section sixteen ~16~ Township nine ~9~ Rnage
twenty-two ~22~ containing five hundred and ninety ~590~ acres
more or less: with the houses, ways, rights and hereditaments thereunto
belonging or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the same
with every part and parcel thereof, to the said Absalom Jolly, his heirs
and assigns to his and their own and only use and benefit in fee
simple forever. And the said Eliza E. Lewis and W.B. Lewis, parties of
the first part, do for themselves, their heirs and assigns, by these
presents warrant the above title against all person or persons whom-
soever, claiming or to claim the same, under any legal or equitable
title whatsoever. 
         In testimony whereof the said E.E. Lewis and W.B.
Lewis hath hereunto set their hands and seals, on this the
twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-two.
