public outcry before the court House door in the Town
of Gainesville Florida and whereas at Said Sale James
D. Matheson became the purchaser of the lands as here
after described for the Sum of Eighty one dollars that
being the highest sum bid for the Same and he being the
bidder thereof and whereas said Sale has been approved
of ratified and confirmed by an order of Said Probate
Court on this day made and rendered and I the Said
R.F. Taylor as Such Commissioner thereby authorized and
required to Execute deeds to the purchasers at Said Sale
Now therefore Know all men by these presents that I
R.F. Taylor as Such Commissioner as aforesaid acting
under and by virtue of Said order of Court for and
in consideration of the said sum of eighty one dollars
So bid as aforesaid by the Said James D. Matheson
have granted bargained, Sold and conveyed, and by
these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto
him the Said James D. Matheson all that certain frac
tional part or portion of the south half of section (5)
Township Ten (10) South Range Twenty (20) East lying
South West of the Town of Gainesville in Alachua
County Florida commencing at the South East corner of 
the lot or parcel of land this day conveyed by me
the Said R.F. Taylor as Commissioner to Mrs. E.A.
Bracy thence North to the Southen boundary of the Lot
in said Town of Gainesville now known as the
Grissom Lot thence East along the Southern boundary
lines of the lot in said Town of Gainesville Florida
now owned by James Shoals thence South along the 
Western boundary of James Shoals lot to a Stake Thirty (30)
feet North of the lot now owned by A.E. Taylor thence
west to place of beginning containing Two acres of land
more or less = To Have and to Hold the Same to him the said
James D. Matheson his heirs executors administrators
and assigns in fee simple forever.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my seal as Such commissioner as aforesaid
on this 12th day of May AD 1875        (seal)
